It has been a while since I have posted about a recent trip... maybe too much work and not enough fun? Either way we went on a quick weekend trip to Seattle a couple of weeks back and loved it! If you follow along on instagram I am sure you saw snippets of our weekend getaway. I wanted to share a few of my favorite spots and stops. Also a big thank you to everyone who gave us suggestions and recommendations- your the best!
We did do the touristy things like go up in the Space Needle and visiting the first Starbucks- because you have to do those things along with trying to visit shops you have been dreaming of and recommended restaurants.
We stayed at the Kimpton Palladian hotel which was just walking distance from the Pike Place Market and the first Starbucks ever, it is also central to the downtown and the Space Needle. The hotel was right up my alley with great design, comfortable rooms and fun details and everyone was very very helpful. We had breakfast in their restaurant one morning which was great and took their recommendations for small restaurants near by for late night dinners and drinks.
We covered a lot of ground the first day we were there while the weather was beautiful! Odd Fellows cafe was our first stop and we walked all over from there....
We visited a few shops I have been dying to see... Watson Kennedy, Red Ticking and Salt House Mercantile
Watson Kennedy has a great collection of pieces by Hugo Guiness...
Pam at Red Ticking is a girl after my own heart, her shop is filled with vintage textiles, linens, beautiful art, pillows, vintage and Astier de Villatte. Perfect!
The Salt House Mercantile was full of amazing bags, linens and home care goods.
I would definitely return to this city- it would be perfect for a girls trip- a lot of shopping and restaurants to explore. The views and streets are full of great small shops and small family owned restaurants.
